T & C were married on a cool April Day – a springtime wedding at Valley View Farm in western Massachusetts. The birds were singing. Valley View’s apple trees were popping blooms. And I was able to incorporate all the flowers of spring into their blush and white florals: tulips, hyacinth, ranunculus, leucojeum and lots and lots of pieris japonica! Summer color, summer joy: a Gedney Farm wedding
Julia and Adam were not afraid of lots of colorful blooms for their late summer Gedney Farm wedding, and that was a good thing because September is peak flower season in New England! When people think of “fall flowers” I think they think of orange and red tones, but the reality is our fall flowers – especially dahlias – come in all tones! And since I plant about 50 different varieties of dahlias every year, there’s lots of color to choose from. Bright and sunny summer wedding at the Boylston Rooms
When I was setting up the arch installation for Caitlyn and Justin’s Boylston Rooms wedding, someone – probably photographer Trish Kemp – said it was pretty and sunny, just like the bride’s personality. My 2nd to last reschedule of the covid years, it was so wonderful to see all their friends and family convene on the spacious and historical grounds of this Berkshire summer camp. Classic burgandy, blush, and pops of pink for fall – at Valley View Farm in Haydenville
Annie and Kevin’s wedding flowers were in a very classic color scheme: burgandy and blush with pops of pink for fun. I am not exaggerating when I say that 99% of the pictures of Colleen and Matt at their lovely fall wedding are of her laughing or smiling, and him looking at her like he’s just won the lottery. Look – I appreciate all the images that I’m sent of the weddings I flower. I think: “how sweet,” “how adorable,” “how beautiful.” But for this one I honestly teared up. A picture perfect wedding at Easthampton’s The Boylston Rooms
The photos from Jenna and Chuck’s wedding are so beautiful, aren’t they? Obviously due to their talented photographer, Kim Boualavong, but also because of the light-filled setting at The Boylston Rooms and all the pretty details they chose – including mis-matched but complementary bridesmaid dresses, which are my new favorite thing! Jenna’s bouquet was soft whites and neutrals, including me-grown dahlias and lisianthus, as well as roses, nigella, eucalyptus, anemone, and some local seasonal grasses for softness and texture. Chuck’s boutonniere complemented Jenna’s bouquet, and featured samples of almost everything she held, including the cute grass heads.
