Consultation
Wedding Flowers from Passalongs Farm: I thought it would be useful to write out a little outline of how the wedding flower consultation and booking process goes when working with me. I do wedding flowers for both full service and DIY weddings, as well as hybrid (a mixture of designed + DIY.) A “full-service” wedding is one where couples need personal wedding flowers (the ones a person holds or are on the body, like bouquets or boutonnieres or crowns), ceremony decor, and reception decor. (Note: if you are hosting a small wedding or you’re the DIY type, please see The DIY Wedding Package.) Don’t know if you’re full service, small,…

Warm fall colors at a warm fall wedding – The Boylston Rooms, Easthampton
Dallas and Jessee were all about the terracotta colors at their warm fall wedding at The Boylston Rooms in Easthampton. I’d describe their warm-toned, seasonal wedding florals as cozy, seasonal, and elegant. All photos are by Bug and June Photo. Location: The Boylston Rooms, Easthampton. Flowers by me! I used several different dahlias in Dallas’s bouquet, including a couple of my favorite soft orange blooms, Labyrinth and Jowey Linda, Added some nice orange roses, some beautiful peach and cream lisianthus I got from Old Friends Farm, a few heirloom chrysanthemums and some soft blue-green eucalyptus and ta da! Proof that an all-orange wedding bouquet is anything but uniform. The couple’s…

Summer color, summer joy: a Gedney Farm wedding
Julia and Adam were not afraid of lots of colorful blooms for their late summer Gedney Farm wedding, and that was a good thing because September is peak flower season in New England! When people think of “fall flowers” I think they think of orange and red tones, but the reality is our fall flowers – especially dahlias – come in all tones! And since I plant about 50 different varieties of dahlias every year, there’s lots of color to choose from. The wedding location is Gedney Farm, in New Marlborough, Massachusetts, northern Berkshires. The photographer for this happy couple is Chelsea Proulx. Flowers by me! Julia’s instructions for me…

Hot pink for a warm night in the Berkshires
Jane and Matt were married early June, but it was a hot day in Stockbridge and the peonies were blown wide open and gorgeous by the time I had everything set up. I loved that Jane and Matt picked all the pinks for their wedding flowers – this timed perfectly with peony season. (You’ll see in this entry that some of the pictures are by me, taken mid-day with full natural sunlight, and some by Rachel Leiner, photographer extraordinaire, taken towards the end of the day and obviously edited with her full expertise. I’ll make it obvious who took what but wanted to point that out since the colors are…
