Everlasting arrangement in a Dan Zulawski vase
This is a very special collaboration with local potter Dan Zulawski! I'm super pleased to be able to present a custom everlasting arrangement, presented in a one-of-a-kind porcelain vase!
About our collaboration: Dan is my neighbor! If you hang out on Sylvester Rd. at all then you've seen him and his wife - they do the 3.7 miles up to Chesterfield Rd. and back almost daily, summer or winter! Such dedication! That's how we met - I'm in my field doing my thing, they're getting exercise nearby - and voila! A local connection is born.
Dan is a retired teacher and life-long potter who does exquisite and careful work. Here's what he says about the vase: it's a 6 x 4.5 x 4.5 porcelain vase with brush work, under celadon glaze copper red, inside fired in reduction in a gas kiln to 2200 degrees Fahrenheit.
The everlasting flowers have all been dried at the farm, and most of them were grown here or foraged locally as well. Design and actual flowers are designer's choice, but you can bet they'll look beautiful!
